The Sunreed™ Difference
At Sunreed™, the difference is not just in the instruments, it is in the relationships that surround them.
We bring together:
- a commitment to quality and precision
- a deep respect for makers, materials, and tradition
- real, human support through conversation and guidance
This work is rooted in community, carried through sound, and supported with care.
You are not simply purchasing an instrument. You are entering into a field of relationship, one that continues to unfold over time.
Value in Community
When you choose an instrument from Sunreed™, you are participating in something larger than a single purchase.
You are entering a field of relationship, one that includes the people who crafted the instrument, the practitioners who carry sound into the world, and the many lives touched through that work.
Sound has long been a way of bringing people together, in ceremony, in reflection, and in moments of transition. Today, that same thread continues through homes, studios, hospitals, schools, and places of care.
We see this not simply as a field, but as a community, one shaped by people who offer sound with sincerity, often quietly, in service of others. Our role at Sunreed™ is to support that work.
Honoring the Hands That Create
Many of the instruments we offer are made by artisans whose knowledge has been carried through generations. These instruments reflect not only skill, but lineage and relationship with materials.
Through these partnerships, we help sustain traditional craftsmanship, small workshops, and authentic sound traditions from around the world.
We remain deeply grateful to the makers whose work allows these instruments, and their voices, to exist.
Supporting Meaningful Work
Sunreed™ is a small company built around care, not volume.
We prioritize thoughtful relationships, livable wages, and a way of working that reflects the same balance and integrity that sound itself invites.
In Relationship with the Earth
Working with natural materials invites responsibility.
At our Vermont facility, we operate with solar energy, use nearly all biodegradable or recycled packing materials, and continue to reduce waste wherever possible.
These are ongoing commitments, part of a larger effort to live and work in greater harmony with the natural world.
A Shared Path
Every instrument carries a journey, from the hands that shaped it, to the person who chooses it, to the spaces it will touch through sound.
When you choose Sunreed™, you become part of that journey.
Our Quality Guarantee
Crafted with Care. Tuned with Precision. Chosen for Sound.
At Sunreed™, quality is not a single step, it is a process of listening, selection, and long-term reliability.
Every instrument we offer is evaluated for its voice, responsiveness, and ability to support real practice. Whether it is a crystal singing bowl, a gong, a drum, a flute, or a tuning fork, we are listening for clarity, consistency, and presence in the sound.
This is especially true for our crystal singing bowls.
Each bowl undergoes a detailed quality process to ensure:
- accurate pitch
- tonal balance
- ease of play
Our bowls are tuned within ±5 cents of perfect pitch, exceeding the common industry standard. In most cases, they are even more precise.
This level of tuning allows bowls to work together coherently, creating a sound field that is balanced, stable, and supportive for meditation, therapeutic work, and deep listening.
But beyond measurement, what matters most is how the instrument feels to work with.
A well-chosen instrument:
- responds with ease
- settles the body more quickly
- and supports a deeper relationship with sound over time
With decades of experience in music, instrument craftsmanship, and sound healing, we understand how profoundly quality shapes the experience.
Our commitment is simple: to offer instruments you can trust, both in their sound, and in how they support your work.
Real People. Real Conversation.
For nearly five decades, Sunreed™ has grown through one simple principle:
Conversation matters.
When you reach out to us, you are not entering a system or a queue, you are speaking with people who work with these instruments every day, who listen closely, and who care about helping you find clarity.
Often, a short conversation is all that’s needed.
Someone may be unsure where to begin, or deciding between instruments, or sensing that what they’re looking for is harder to describe. We meet all of this the same way, by listening first.
From there, we can help you:
- understand the differences between instruments
- hear how tones relate
- find something that genuinely fits the way you want to work with sound
This is not about directing you toward a product.
It is about helping you orient within sound.
For those just beginning, this can make the path feel more approachable. For experienced practitioners, it can bring refinement, clarifying relationships between instruments, tones, and practice.
We also remain available after your instrument arrives.
Sometimes what is most helpful is not choosing the instrument, but learning how it responds, how it fits into your existing work, how it interacts with other sounds, and how to develop a relationship with it over time.
These conversations are part of what we offer.
